Hiring requires absolute trust. At NoaMetrics, we believe that you cannot eliminate hiring fraud without fundamentally protecting the privacy of the candidates. This document explains exactly what data our software collects, how our algorithms use it, and how we protect it.
1. The Brief Summary
- We do not sell your data. Never have, never will.
- We require explicit consent. We will never capture your biometric data / information or process your behavioral metrics without your direct, written permission.
- Humans make the final call. Our software product acts as an intelligence and verification layer. It does not autonomously hire or reject candidates without human oversight.
- We delete what we don't need. Biometric identifiers are permanently destroyed immediately after their verification purpose is fulfilled.
2. The Information We Collect
To power our recruitment, verification, and behavioral analysis engines, we collect the following categories of data:
- Traditional Candidate Data: Resumes, work history, contact information, and portfolio links.
- Biometric Identifiers & Information: During the video interview and identity verification phase, we capture facial geometry scans and voice-based input to ensure candidate authenticity and prevent proxy-interview fraud.
- Behavioral & Analytical Data: Metadata from your interaction with our platform, including keystroke pacing and communication patterns, used by our software product to assess interview integrity.
3. Biometric Integrity & Compliance
Because we handle sensitive biometrical information, our AI is BIPA & SOC2 Compliant by design. We adhere strictly to the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA - the strictest standard in the US), regardless of what state or country you live in.
Notice & Consent: Before any facial or voice input scan is initiated, you will be presented with a clear, separate consent release. You have the right to decline, though it may require you to verify your identity through alternative, manual methods with the potential employer.
Purpose: Biometric data is used exclusively to verify that the person taking the interview matches the provided government ID, and to prevent anomalies (e.g., cheating, proxy fraud).
Retention & Destruction: We do not hoard biometric data. Your facial geometry and voiceprints are encrypted, used for the verification session, and permanently destroyed within 30 days of the completed assessment, or immediately upon your request.
4. AI Explainability & Automated Judgement
We utilize advanced AI models to parse resumes and analyze interview behavior. We believe in "Glass-Box AI," meaning our processes are designed for transparency:
Bias Mitigation: Used AI models undergo regular audits to ensure they do not discriminate based on race, gender, age, or disability.
Your Right to Context: If our AI flags an application for behavioral anomalies or resume inconsistencies, the employer is provided with a "Confidence Score" and the specific data points that triggered it.
No Autonomous Rejections: Under emerging 2026 AI laws, you have the right to be shielded from purely automated legal or employment decisions. Our software assists human recruiters; it does not replace them.
5. Data Security (SOC2 Standard)
All data, including standard resume text and highly sensitive biometric hashes, is secured using enterprise-grade protocols:
Encryption: AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit.
Access Limits: Zero-trust architecture. NoaMetrics employees cannot access raw candidate biometric data.
6. Your Rights & Data Autonomy
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the CPRA in California, and emerging Michigan privacy laws), you hold the following rights over your data:
- The Right to Access: You may request a complete export of the data we hold on you.
- The Right to Deletion (The Right to be Forgotten): You may request that we wipe your profile, resumes, and analytical scores from our servers.
- The Right to Opt-Out: You may withdraw your consent for AI-driven behavioral profiling at any time.
